All models in the new Halon SR series are built on a brand new operating system, developed from the ground up with focus on IPv6, security and performance. The Halon SR platform also features load balancing on level 7 of the OSI model, clustering, AES encryption and BGP redundancy.

For customers already with a virtualization environment, the all new Halon Virtual Security Router (VSR) offers the same functionality as Halon HSR and also offers optimization for virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer or KVM.
